We initially hesitated in our choice of name for this site. “Pro-democracy”, in order to indicate our fundamental political attitude, or “pro-reason” to indicate our fundamental philosophical attitude?
The latter was obviously chosen, and this was because support for reason inevitably leads to support for power being given to the people. All other systems are irrational, if we take the goal of any system to be the Utilitarian goal of the maximum happiness for the maximum number of people.
This site aims to demonstrate the supremacy of reason, and the link between it and democracy and the various modes and implications of its implementation. Along the way, there will also be reviews of certain aspects of culture.
